Paradise Valley & Jubilee Park

In 2012 we decided to dedicate ourselves to one or two parks: Jubilee Park & Paradise Valley. We started this iniative by placing posters around the school so that both learners and teachers would know that we were offering community serviec. Each week we would alternate our afternoon towards cleaning up these beautiful parks, their rivers especially. It was a most rewarding and joyful job as many attended not only to pick up litter but also to have fun and reduce their stress levels due to school work. The clean ups showed all of us just how much litter can be found and this ultimately lead to the start of the Grade 8 and 9 Recycling Competiton.

Have you seen how fast the polar caps are melting... what will that do to the levels of our seas and oceans? What will the rising water levels do to coastal towns and cities?

Chose to become informed..

Wise up and make a difference NOW!
